Shadowing technique as a way of improving english as a foreign language learners' listening skills

Abstract

Learning a foreign language gives possibilities for better life and wages. Learning a foreign language gives opportunity for better things, namely English gives possibilities for people to live better life and English is required for people who want to live or study abroad. However, in learning a foreign language students face many difficulties and one of them is listening comprehension. Listening skill is considered as challenging skill among other skills, exactly speaking, writing and reading skills. People with the help of effective listening can create and improve relationships, and also can become better communicator. As people consider listening is not simple, especially when the English language has statute as a foreign language for people. Listening skill is one of the most important skills in learning English. As well, listening is complicated skill among speaking, reading and writing skills. In communication listening is significant, as without listening it is impossible to communicate with other language speakers and it is difficult to understand the speech of other communicators. Listening is essential skill and listening is first part of skills in learning a language because people get listening before writing, speaking and reading skills. In learning process listening is regarded as abandoned skill among all language skills.
